Dr. Funk was a founding financier and director of Unitus Capital in 2007. Unitus has become one of the largest boutique investment banking groups in the microenterprise space directing or co-sponsoring over 3 billion in capital formation. Dr. Funk has served on the Innovations Board of the X Prize Foundation, supports the fight against ALS and is a director of Augie’s Quest, was appointed Special Envoy to British Columbia for Film and Digital Media, supports Canucks Kids Foundation, is a TED Patron, provides college scholarship to students from his Iowa high school, has received hall of fame honors at Purdue, co-founded the UP Summit, considered the premier event in eVTOL aviation and urban mobility, is working to bring a charter school to Alpine, and empowers critical community care in the Western Wyoming region.
